so long 2009, you were a great year!

Well, I started this blog at the beginning of 2009 and kept it going the whole year...pretty proud of myself. It's a nice way to kind of journal. There is also a program that will turn your blog into a book, so maybe this will be the last entry of volume 1 :-) Obviously, some pretty fun things happened this year...can't complain! Next year is going to be even more fun with a million more firsts!

We took Juliette's 26 week (can't believe we're half way done!) pictures in a baby new year type theme...

i can sit up now!
we get to party!??!
passed out..ok, not really, but sometimes i get so excited i tip over :-)
ok, i am back...ready for round two!
where are you all going? i am not done!
i get to keep the hat?awesome...i'll eat it

Also, now that I am so big, I had my first bath sitting up! (the duck is only cool because it is a pirate duck!)

Hope you all have a great 2010!

Christmas was awesome...and we need a toy box

Wow! What an awesome Christmas! Having Juliette around just makes everything better. Her innocense and smiles are priceless and I found myself thinking many times over how lucky and happy I am at this point in life. I love the Christmas season and have had many great memories of our first with Juliette. As usual, it is best told with pictures...

CHRISTMAS EVE

a random milestone thrown in with the holiday, Juliette had sweet potatoes (homemade by mommy) for the first time! she did a pretty good job (i have some video that i may get aorund to posting later, but no guarantees, so here is an "after" pic):

Christmas Eve is "my" day, and Joey has Christmas day. Christmas Eve day we didn't do much...wrapped presents and I finished up some projects. Brent and Kristine came over to exchange gifts before heading to the big family event. I have some video of Juliette opening their gift, which she liked, but after we took the wrapping paper away from her she was pretty angry. I also have to apologize to Brent (and Kristine) for not being more attentive when they were here because I was finishing Joey's pants. Sorry. I will work on my eye contact next visit. This year X-mas Eve was at my uncle Denny's house, which conveniently is one stoplight from our house. It was a good sized crowd this year and we had a really nice time. Juliette made out quite nicely as she got gifts from my aunts and my grandparents. Kids always get such fun stuff! We took a few pics here...

Sleeping babies....Teddy (my cousin), with Juliette. family shot, using their treemommy and Juliettedaddy and Juliette
when we got home we left some cookies out for santa (thanks for the cup and plate gramma jule and grampa steve-o) the banister, which Joey decorated...under my direction ;-)
CHRISTMAS DAY

The pants. Well, I did it....finished pretty last minute, but I finished. I MADE pants for all of us to wear on Christmas morning. I love them and it was so fun to do. I felt pretty domestic!! I will have to make a new pair every year because Juliette will keep growing (hopefully we don't...haha!). I used the timer on the camera to try to get a few pics, I think you'll get the idea...

Playing with Juliette and her toy...in our matching pants! (Next year I should make shirts, so Joey is not in orange!)a better shot of the pants!
Juliette helping me make a mocha with my new espresso machine from Joey Joey ready to eat my homemade (yeah, I made the dough and did the icing myself!) cinnamon rolls...out new x-mas morning tradition to go with our hot chocolate! again, I felt very domestic. and they were yummy!baby on the head!

After doing all of our Christmas morning gifts at our house, we stopped by my parents before heading to Joey's brother's for dinner. Here is a cute shot of my parents with Juleitte:
We stopped by their house to do gifts. Disney World is our BIG present every year, but then we usually do a few small gifts. This year, however, we scored big time. They bought a Wii for me and for Brent (I guess Kristine and Joey will get to use it too...). We usually know what we're getting, but this came as a surprise! We also got a Toy Story game that is based on this really cool ride in DW. Super fun...felt like a little kid again. So, as an ode to 1990 (?), I am recreating the image of Brent when he got Nintendo from my parents (I wish I had that picture on my computer...):
I hope all of you all had a great Christmas and got to spend time with the people who you love. I do love all the food and presents (getting and giving!), but I really, really love my family and how much they love me, Joey, and Juliette. You can't buy that!

santa with all my kids

For those of you who have know me for a while, you probably know Alex and Mychal. They are my bosses kids, I have watched them since before I could drive, and they were ushers in our wedding. I always called them "my kiddies" because I spent so much time with them. When I got older and talked about my kids people started to look at me funny...anyway, probably about 10 years ago we started doing a santa picture. It is pretty funny to see 3 "big kids" waiting in line with 4 year olds. Anyway, I always said my last picture with the boys would be when I had my first real kid, but we might have to keep doing it. It's been a fun little tradition...here are a few pics from the past that I happen to have on this computer along with our pic from this year!

this might be one of the first ones...

this is a nice one

mychal got to sit on santa's lap...alex did the pose in front

the first one with ALL my kids :-)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

a good laugh...

I had to work at Macy's today. Joey called me when I was about to leave and had me listen to Juliette laugh. It was so cute. She still doesn't laugh on cue all the time, so it's hit and miss a lot. Today was a big hit! He was able to call me to hear it AND get the video camera out to record it, so obviously I have to share it :-) Oh, and you'll get a kick out of Joey too! (I said "booga booga" way at the beginning and he made fun of me, now he uses it all the time!)

DISNEY WORLD!!!

Man it is tough to pick out pictures! I narrowed it down (does 40 pics count as narrowing? I had over a hundred...) to try to bring you through our week in Disney. For those of you who use this blogger site you will really appreciate the fact that I got all of these pictures up in order and how long it took. I figured this was the best way to take you through our trip. Overall it was pretty awesome, but it is VERY tiring to vacation with an infant...I already need another vacation!

I wish you all could've been there to see Juliette with Snow White. My mom got in line "just in case" and Juliette ended up LOVING it. Seriously...people stopped to watch her face light up and give this HUGE smile whenever Snow White would talk. Snow White even asked if she could give her a kiss! (Unkie B was on camera duty and got some really good pics! thanks!)
this one pretty much says it all!

if you look in the back you can see the "golfball" in epcot

at this point juliette was tuckered out and asleep, but when we saw winnie the pooh and tigger i decided to wake her up b/c her schedule was already so messed up, i might as well have the picture!

Happy Holidays everyone!!!
