FYI on yesterday... Joey and Jason (his friend he carpools with to work) were in an accident in the morning- Jason was driving, it was rainy, etc. They basically started hydroplaning, did a 360, hit the median, started spinning the other way across the right lane, hit a lightpost (took it out so it was laying in the freeway), hit a tree, and came back to a stop facing the wrong way half on the grass, half on the shoulder. Yeah, and they WALKED AWAY TOTALLY FINE!! WTF?!? Joey said he was lucky to be alive...which is what a pregnant wife loves to hear...ugh. This is the short version of the story, there would be a lot to type out, and I am sure if I talk to you in person in the next few weeks you'll get the long version! So last night we went to Chili's with Brent and Kristine to celebrate Joey being alive. Freaky!

more presents! ...and a brush with death
What is better than getting presents? Getting more presents...and in the mail!! I remember how fun it was to get packages when I was getting married, but those were mostly delivered to my parents house. Yesterday Joey and I went to get the mail and we had a key in our box (it's a tower of mailboxes so if you get something really big, then you get a key and get to open one of the big boxes...soooooo exciting!!). I knew it was probably from Meghan since she'd called for my address last week, but it was still exciting! My favorite part of getting mail from Meghan is she usually includes some kind of drawing on notebook paper with a blue pen (Meghan is a writer, not a drawer...). So the front has a picture of us holding our babies with our matching strollers- super cute. Her presents were thoughtful, and probably difficult for her to buy. Meghan, for whatever reason, is not really all that into Disney (yes, we're still friends...amazing, I know!). But before I was pregnant she found these cute books for me and kept them until now (since they are vintage it ups the cool factor, making a Disney gift ok to give):I also got some fake Ugg looking boots (there's a story with this one) and some Winnie the Pooh pacifiers. It was super fun and thoughtful and much needed yesterday!!
