baby clothes

This is a picture of the first thing Joey and I bought for Juliette. It's a little Ralph Lauren nighty type thing. Joey picked it out because he liked the feet! I liked that it was Polo :-) That being said, here is my rant on clothes...I hate them. I think they are a waste of money. Babies grow out of things so fast you don't even have enough time to enjoy all of the stuff you get/buy. And you never know how big they're going to be when they are born, so you could get all this cute newborn stuff and then have a 9lb baby! Since we're having a summer baby, I am assuming she'll spend the first few months in a onesie trying to stay cool, so I am nervous about getting a bunch of clothes. I guess there are bigger things to worry about, but this just happens to be on my mind today.

  1. The Babys R Us discount rack is fantastic, but it makes no sense to buy clothes until after the baby is born. The perfect time to buy clothes is to send your mom or hubby out while you're in the hospital (it gives them something to do while you bond and rest). You're right about the summer...she'll spend all the time in cotton onesies, and you can get plenty of cute stuff from my kiddos as well =)

  2. footy jammies or anything with feet is so helpful...also...don't buy any tops that aren't onesies...they are annoying and just ride up...
