date night!

Joey and I had our date night on Saturday. We had a nice dinner at Koslak's and then went to a movie. I wanted to see the Informant (seeing as Matt Damon is on my list and it looked good), but Joey "heard" bad reviews and he would've been going into it with a bad attitude...so we went to Surrogates. OMG...horrible. I seriously wanted to walk out. I just kept looking at Joey and rolling my eyes...seriously people, DO NOT go to this movie. Ok, enough on that. The concept of a date night was fun and I didn't have to worry b/c we left them with some decent (and free) babysitters! Here are the pics...

We have had a busy last week! It was week 2 of daycare and the first full Friday that Joey had Juliette (well, he did come to my work for lunch- his and Juliette's!). Gramma Jule and Grampa Steve-O have been in DW so we've had to send pictures of what we do. They miss her a lot and will try to make up for lost time with gifts...it should work! Juliette and I have still gone to their house a few times to have lunch with Unkie B (even left the receipts for reimbursement from g-pa!).

Tomorrow night Joey and I will be going on our first date since baby! When my grandparents came to the hospital they said "parents should get something too" and they gave us a gift card for dinner at Koslak's. So we're going to eat dinner there and then catch a movie! BIG NIGHT! I'll probably post some pics :-)

Disney World

Yes, we are bringing Juliette on her first trip to DW in December. HOWEVER, right now my parents thought it would be cool to go by themselves (well, with my aunt and uncle too). But seriously...who goes to DW without their kids???

11 weeks

I am just sad. Today is Juliette's first day of daycare. I am sure all moms have their feelings and stories and everything, but it doesn't really make me feel and better (the "i know how you feel" line has never done anything for me, even if you have been through it). I have no problem with the daycare she is at and have known the family for years, but that doesn't make it any better. I have listened to my friends stories about have the person hand the wrong kid to her, crying in a seven eleven parking lot, having to tell your in-laws about how YOU want things done, etc. so I know that it's never an easy road. I thought maybe this would be like another super emotional day where it's so emotional that I don't cry...nope. I started crying last night when I was getting her bottles and milke ready. Cried while I rocked her to sleep. Cried when I woke up. Cried when I fed her this morning. Cried when I put her in the car seat. Cried when I turned on the street to daycare. Cried when I left daycare. Cried when Meghan called (luckily she knew better than to make me talk!). Cried when I got out of my car and then ran into my uncle in the parking lot and had to explain why I was crying. Cried when I walked into my office and saw my mom. Crying as I am writing this...

One hour down.

Ugh.

Gramma Jule is 50 and Juliette is 10 weeks!

We had a busy week! On Tuesday Gramma Jule turned 50! We went over at about noon to spend most of the day with Gramma. For dinner Great Gramma and Grampa Unger came over, as did Unkie B and Antie K. Juliette was on her best behavior! She sat in her bouncer for all of dinner and just looked cute. Then after dinner she put on a show and rolled over on queue- it was pretty crazy! 9 week photo shoot and 2 months dr visit!

Here are some shots from the 9 week photo shoot yesterday:

Earlier in the day on Thursday we went out with Amy for some drinks for my mom's b-day (which is technically next Tuesday)...this was my first glass of wine in almost a year!!! (Juliette was with us, just not in the picture):

TWO MONTH APPOINTMENT STATS

Weight 8lbs 11oz. (up 2 pounds from birth weight, in the 5th-10th percentile)

Height 22in (up 2.5 inches, in the 30th percentile)

Head 14.5 in (I don't really get why the measure this...)

but once she got the paci...she was fine! and has been all day...really sleepy :-)

The doctor visit went well. She is still small, but gaining and growing at a good rate! After the visit we went to target and she slept most of the time. We cam home, she woke up to eat, and is napping again. No fever or reaction to the shots, so that is nice. Hopefully she has a good night and is ok tomorrow morning :-)
