I need one of these every month!! I had a craft day on Saturday. I wanted to learn some new things and my friend Laura's mom, Connie, is SUPER talented and I learn from better from hands-on teaching so a few months ago we scheduled this day! We (me, Laura, her sister-in-law Katie...and two dogs) drove up on Friday night. I cut the pattern out at night so it was ready to go the next day. We also enjoyed some homemade carmel corn from Connie when we got in :-)
My big goal was to do Juliette's halloween costume (worst case if it turned out horrible, I still had time to buy one!). Mission accomplished! I am beyond excited and if you see me in the next few days or weeks it's probably all I will talk about!
first progress shot...top and sleeves
sew them together and it's the top!
then you sew the skirt on!
i even learned how to do a zipper!
all of our crafts...laura finished a quilt and did a puppy towel; katie started on a scarf the she knitted AND pearled; and i did pants (my warm up!) and the dress
us with our crafts
my teacher!
I finished the hem at home because I needed to see how it fell on Juliette
SOOOOOOO AWESOME! Can you believe this came from fabric and thred???
