I tried giving Juliette some puffs for lunch yesterday...some nice organic veggie ones :-) I did it when Joey was gone in case she choked or gagged b/c he can't handle that! Luckily, she did awesome and it's nice to have somehing to put in front of her while I get her food ready!

Wednesday Workday

I needed to stop in a work on Wednesday to mail some checks and pick up some work to take home. Juliette helped me work a little bit while we were there...

8 months!!

We have been busy as usual this week! Monday Joey was home with Juliette b/c his schedule changed to Tu-Fr for this week. Thankfully, we were able to switch daycare to Tu/Fr this week (thanks Karen!). Tuesday was Juliette's 8 months birthday- which she shared with Dr. Seuss. They celebrated Dr. Seuss' b-day at daycare and Juliette got a cool hat! Her first daycare craft- yay!

After daycare, we stopped by gramma and grampa's for our monthly muffins and movie.

playroom

So obviously Juliette has taken over our house. We even moved the big tv downstairs to make room for all of her toys and stuff. I really wish we had a basement!! So anyway, we turned he tv room upstairs (formally know as "Joey's Room") into a playroom for her. I wish I had taken some "before" pics, but oh well.

This is one side of the room. I bought these huge frames at Target, mostly to cover up all the holes from the shelves that we had on the wall! It worked pretty well. It was hard to narrow Juliette to just- haha- 32 pictures! In the middle of the pics I made a "J" with different fabrics wrapped around a block letter...not loving it yet, but my intentions were good! The swing will probably be able to be put away soon, but there really isn't anywhere to put it so for now it stays! The cabinet has some of my sewing stuff in it and will either need to be cleaned out or locked shut! To the left of the cabinet is a little Tinkerbell chair that I bought as an impulse buy the other day- super tacky, but it's still cute!

This would be the view from the closet, if you were ever to stand in there. I just wanted to get a view of as much of the room as I could. We got it down to one couch, but usually we're on the floor!
The pride of the room! When it was the tv room we had mafia movie posters hanging up and I just didn't feel that was appropriate...so Meghan and I worked on some posters together. We think they turned out FABULOUS and wonder why other people don't seem to care as much?!? She even ordered some for Harrison's playroom. They are just awesome! Underneath the posters you will notice Juliette in her jumpy thing (that she LOVES), and our make-shift toy box (tables with the bins underneath). Her little LeapFrog toy is in the pic too...

my second grade teacher sent us a giftcard for Juliette and I felt that I should used it towards something educational. they have this toy at daycare and Karen said Juliette liked it, so i got it! it's pretty cool and she can entertain herself for a while with it, so we love it too!!

34 weeks

Here you go, late in posting again, but we're busy people!!

it's getting harder and harder to take the pic because all she wants to do is grab the card...

what? i didn't do anything...
i can crawl just a little bit...

but i can smile A LOT :-)

a big week of new things...

Juliette is sleeping right now and we haven't done her photoshoot yet, but I thought I would update you on some of her firsts this week! She finally cut a tooth! I have used "teething" as an excuse of drooling/fussiness for a while, but now I was right! She actually wasn't bad at all... And I will easily be able to remember the date because I first felt it on Joey's birthday! Waa-hoo! Also this past weekend, she did a few forward crawls. She is not crawling like crazy or anything yet, and still really loves to roll, but we're close and now we have to keep an extra eye on her!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!

Joey is 32 today! It's hard to celebrate on a Tuesday when baby and daddy both go to bed at 7, but we managed to have a little fun. Juliette got her dad a little digital camera of his own (mom doesn't give hers up!) so he can bring it into work to show some pics of Juliette or out on the golf course to catch a few pics. Here she is helping him open his gift:

Since it was Tuesday, the birthday meal was tacos! I told him he could pick what he wanted and that's what he picked! I should've taken a picture because they were pretty! After we ate, Juliette posed for a picture with dad and his cupcake (yes, even though we're doing biggest loser stuff you can't withhold a birthday treat!!)

too busy to blog?

This weekend Joey left to go snowboarding up in Lutsen with some friends, so I was a single mother for the weekend. Ok, so my mom stayed over Friday night and I stayed at my parents on Saturday, but I was without a hubby! I also had to get ready for the week and do the grocery shopping and baby shopping so it was a busy few days. I also managed to misplace my camera for a day or two and couldn't catch up on my blogging...and last week I spent most nights on the computer catching up on some work stuff that has been lingering since "the crash" at work. So yeah, it's been busy...here are a few pic from the last week:

ok, this is the only pic brent and kristine took from their night of babysitting on the 13th when we took my parents out to dinner. it's a pretty cute little family pic (I consider any pic where juliette is looking at the camera to be a good picture...)

Gramma Jule and Grampa Steve-O also stopped by later on Valenine's day with a cool litle toy for Juliette and a nice $50 each for mommy and daddy! There is a story behind that, but it's too much to type out, so if you ever want to hear it, I can just tell you!

We also had our BEST DAY EVER at swimming on Thursday! Juliette did her "zooms" (going under water) twice withou crying! That's a record, and probably already puts her ahead of me in the comfortable-with-water contest :-)

AND, last week we did some more stuff with her new playroom that I will need an entire entry to brag about, so I'll do that later this week!
