BEDDING

kid #1: I spent HOURS searching for the exact shade of purple. I spent too much money (which I knew when I was doing it). Seriously, I wish I knew how much time I devoted to this...

kid #2: New Years Eve, Joey was sick so I went out by myself to look for bedding. Stores close at 6pm on NYE so I had about 2 minutes...found a FAO bedding set that was normally $200 and got it for $30...yes, $30. I also got a bunch of accessories that went with the set...got about $500 worth of stuff for around $100.

NAME

kid #1: We had Juliette's name picked out from day 1.

kid #2: Still working on the boy name...MUCH more difficult.

CLOTHES

kid #1: Girl clothes are so much more fun...so many more accessories! I feel like girl stuff is more fun to buy.

kid #2: I better get used to blue! It's not horrible, but boys clothes are going to get some taking used to...

EATING

kid #1: With Juliette in the first trimester I always felt "full" and had to really make an effort to eat

kid #2: I could eat all day. This kid is going to be huge based on what I am eating. I am also aware that this is my last pregnancy (excuse to get fat), so I am taking advantage :-)

I am sure I'll have a kid #1 vs kid #2 entry after Butter is born :-)

My First Quilt

I went up to Sauk Rapids for "craft day 2012" with Laura and her mom. The goal this year was to create a quilt from Juliette's old clothes. I have never made a quilt before. We went up Friday night and I didn't leave until around 10 on Saturday...I was determined to finish (note: doing a quilt in one day in not necessarily realistic!). We had a great day, with 3 full meals and delicious snacks from Connie. I also learned a lot about making quilts and will be doing more! Here is the one I made for Juliette...when I brought it home she LOVED it, and that made it all the better!

Baby Butter's Room

Two quick pics from Butter's new room...it's Juliette's furniture, but we painted her old playroom. It's amazing how paint can make the furniture look different...I don't have artwork up yet, but it's coming along...

Juliette and the BIG girl bed

Ok, not really the greatest pics because they were taken on my phone, but you'll kind of get the idea. We moved Juliette into her big girl bed right before we went to Disney World. It's actually gone pretty well...she doesn't get out at night, or in the morning- she just calls for us and we get her. It's also nice that the bed has the railing all the way around and keep her in- she is such a violent sleeper (that's her dad in her!)...

we got a low loft bed, so there is a little fort underneath that she likes to play in...there is a bookcase on the side and a dresser in front. the shelf in front also pulls out as a desk. it's pretty cool!

got this on the internet...a fairy with her name for on the wall. i put it up myself...star by star!other side of the room...dollhouse, table, shelf for toys (and the tv)couldn't get this to flip, so just turn your head...this is her reading corner. I love that she loves it! I have the winnie the pooh pic, dr seuss quote, and pillow cases I made...my fav part of the room.

Poulsoms in Town

Meghan and fam were in town for Christmas so we got to spend some time playing together. Her parents bought an AWESOME house in Shoreview on a lake, so Harrison and Juliette got to "skate" around a bit. Then we headed to the mall and rode the carousel. Fun little day. The next day Juliette said she wanted to go to Harrison's hosue again :-)

Christmas!

We enjoyed a fun and busy Christmas! I spent Christmas Eve night putting together Juliette's dollhouse from Santa...I loved it! Here is our Christmas day in pictures...
