fun little sunday

What a nice Sunday! A lot of what made it nice is that we got all of our chores and cooking for the week done yesterday, so today was more of a lazy day (we actually got to sit down during her afternoon nap!). This morning Joey went to go work out and do some shopping while Juliette and I worked on getting back on schedule with this "spring ahead" hour. I think we're actually in good shape. I am hoping everyone here got out to enjoy this weather today! Seriously....wow! So nice! We got to take the stroller out and go for a little walk around our neighborhood. That was always what I pictured about a family...going on walks with the baby in the stroller. Perfect.

last day of swimming (well, for this session)

Today was Juliette's last day of swimming in her first session. They evaluate at week 5 (of 10) if they pass to the next level. It wasn't until like week 4 that she didn't cry during the zoom, so she didn't pass. If they would've rated her at he end, she would've passed, but you have to register early so we'll be in Baby Backfloat 1 more time...which is fine by me because the kids in BB2 are big, and walking! There are 4 baby levels and you usually hang out in BB2 and BB3 for a few sessions. They have to be 30 months to be in BB4, and in that one parents are in the water half the time and out half the time- HOLY CRAP! That will be a tough one for me! So here are some pics from our last day (daddy was able to come today!)

Ok, so when I logged on and got ready to post, I noticed that this is my 200th post since I've started! Wahoo! Thanks to those of you who have read them all and commented here and there. This is a nice little diary to have and hopefully I can turn it into a keepsake one day...I'll have to put it in volumes :-)

Todays post is short, but cute...Brent took a video on his phone last night of Juliette crawling and he sent it to me at work this morning, so I thought I'd put it up here! Joey likes to put his phone out and have Juliette crawl to it...here you go:

wine and cheese

Saturday we had our fifth annual wine and cheese night. We're not super sophisticated or anything...we don't pair the right wine with the right cheese, but we do drink wine and eat a bunch of cheese! This year we had 17 people in our little space! We had the usuals: baked brie, boursin, beer cheese fondue, various crackers and misc cheeses...and we also had some new ones: club, italian or taco pinwheels, baked goat cheese in marinara, and pesto w/cream cheese on baguettes. Super yummy all around. A few years ago I started doing themes, and this year was hats! Some people forgot, but others came through!

35 weeks

Hey! I am kind of on time with my posting! Here is the little chubb at 35 weeks!

and that's an example of how i get her to crawl :-) she will do it if she wants something...sometimes she tucks her left arm a little, sometimes not. she can get up on "all fours", but that's a lot of work b/c of her big belly! it's fun to watch her get better!

I tried giving Juliette some puffs for lunch yesterday...some nice organic veggie ones :-) I did it when Joey was gone in case she choked or gagged b/c he can't handle that! Luckily, she did awesome and it's nice to have somehing to put in front of her while I get her food ready!

Wednesday Workday

I needed to stop in a work on Wednesday to mail some checks and pick up some work to take home. Juliette helped me work a little bit while we were there...

8 months!!

We have been busy as usual this week! Monday Joey was home with Juliette b/c his schedule changed to Tu-Fr for this week. Thankfully, we were able to switch daycare to Tu/Fr this week (thanks Karen!). Tuesday was Juliette's 8 months birthday- which she shared with Dr. Seuss. They celebrated Dr. Seuss' b-day at daycare and Juliette got a cool hat! Her first daycare craft- yay!

After daycare, we stopped by gramma and grampa's for our monthly muffins and movie.
