playdate

Ok, it wasn't a real playdate yet because Juliette can't really play yet- but she's getting closer since she can sit up now! Last night we went over to see Andrea and Ben's new house and hang out with their girls. It's so fun to see what the future holds! Here are a few pics of the girls:

I still have to put up her 28 week pics, since that is today, but I haven't taken them yet. Joey is currently doing bathtime while I update this and then we'll take the pics, so I should be able to get them up tomorrow or Saturday. Also, we had her 6 month photoshoot with Katrina today so as soon as I get the link to that I'll post...I love getting the little teaser from her!

fat baby

OK, she's not fat, but she has jumped up to the 25th percentile in height AND weight...making her perfectly proportioned! Juliette weighed in at 14lbs 130z and was 25 1/4 inches long at her 6 month appointment today. She can do all the things she is supposed to, and a few more! Everything seems to be going well, so that is great. She got her shots, and that went as expected...a quick wail followed by sticking the paci in and then all was better! I love the bandaids they get :-)

momma's girl

Today was day 1 of swimming lessons. We are taking them at FOSS, which this guy at my work swears by...all 3 of his kids go there. It's really nice, no more than 5 kids in a class and the pool is at 91 degrees and only used for lessons. So I thought it would be a good idea to get her started early before she freaks out about water like her mom :-) The lesson is only half an hour long and she was good for the first 10 minutes and they I think I may have gotten a bit too much water in her face and she was not very happy the rest of the time...lots of crying, just like her mom! We also had to put their faces under water a little bit...that was not her favorite part. I was actually pretty good about it and Joey said I did well, so that helped. I think the more she does it, the better she is going to be (obviously), so we'll just keep going! She also looked really cute in her swimsuit (you know, the important stuff).

she was really into watching all the kids before we got in the pool
she may or may not have been crying here...but she's still cute!

We are taking lessons with our friend Danielle (and her mom Laura) daddy's came along to watch the first lesson and were helpful with the girls while we dried off and got ready
I'll let you know how next week goes!

Juliette's Half Birthday

Ok, I love half birthdays. I still celebrate mine. So you can imagine how excited I was that it was literally Juliette's half birthday! It also conveniently was on a Saturday :-) So we had my fam over for hotdogs (in honor of Juliette's favorite song...the hot dog song at the end of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse...seen here, if you're interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wePMYM4av6Q ). I got a ton of cute pics from the day, as usual :-)

So that's it....the post is finally done! More to come soon as we start swimming lessons tomorrow!!

a busy start to the new year!

Well, I am a little behind in my blogging...I have some really cool pics from Juliette's half birthday party on Saturday, but I just haven't had the time to put them up yet. I am going to try to do that tonight.

We spent this weekend cleaning/re-organizing again...that's two weekends in a row for those of you counting. This weekend we were getting ready for the big tv to move downstairs. It might not sound like that big of a deal, but trust me it is. We moved furniture around and put up speakers downstairs. I also decided I would finally start two projects that I've been wanting to do for OVER a month...get myipod all ready and loaded and clean out my closet. Joey got me the ipod touch for my birthday and I wanted it to be loaded perfectly :-) I also wanted my cd collection on there...it's easy to do, but mucho time consuming. I also have songs from my old Zune and from Brent, so I have to go through and check for doubles and all that jazz...when it's done it will be awesome! The other project, my closet, has been calling me... I need to get rid of stuff!!! I already have a hamper full of clothes and a bag of shoes to donate and a basket full of stuff for my mom. I went through dresser drawers last night and tonight it's the t-shirts... I told Joey it would be done by the end of the week!

Ok, that's all for now...on a quick Juliette note, we're starting to get on a bit more of a schedule and she's had two solid (11 and 10 hours) nights of sleep the last few nights, so that's been nice!
