Random Juliette :-)

This weekend we tried to put Juliette in the little activity center thing that we have for her. She is still too small (as you can tell b/c her feet don't touch the ground!). I think she was interested in some of the things, but a bit freaked out that she was "floating". Trying to eat her fist :-)

Parties

There is a reason I don't like having parties. The end.

19 weeks

It took me a while to post these! Joey was gone Thursday night for work, and I almost forgot it was Thursday, so we took her pics in her pj's! (they are really cute b/c they're purple and they have an owl on them saying "whooooo's sleepy?")

30

Happy Birthday to me :-) b-day cupcake at Salut

I am 30. I remember when my mom turned 30...I was 10. I am thinking Juliette isn't really going to remember this :-)
Today was a great day...for eating! My mom brought me some traditional McD's for breakfast, then I had lunch with my mom and Amy at Salut, then did dinner at my parents with Brent and Kristine and had Cosetta's, adn DQ cake. I ate A LOT of food, but it was yummy! I will not be weighing myself today.
at lunch...

I also got some nice gifts...Joey, after fretting over what to get me because I banned him from jewelry and purses, got me the ipod touch. Juliette got me a gift card to my hair place for a blow out and a manicure :-)
Juliette handing me my gift!

Thirty is just a number, but people always make a big deal out of it...what goals/things did you want to do by the time you were thirty. Usually I would totally be one of those people, and if you would've asked me 10 years ago where I would be at 30 I couldn't have imagined it to be any more perfect. It's awesome. I am so lucky to have Joey and Juliette. I have great parents and brother and sis-in-law. My friends are the best. I have a job that is flexible enough for me to be able to spend more time with Juliette. My family is healthy. And on the fun side, I get to take some cool vacations and drive a nice car ;-) So when people would ask me what I wanted for my birthday and I couldn't think of anything....I thought that was pretty cool because I already have everything I need!

b-day dinner, baptism, and rice cereal = busy busy weekend

I am still trying to recover from the weekend! Joey and I were both exhausted yesterday...I got into my pj's at 3:30! Saturday Joey golfed (and shot an 88!) while I was running errands and trying to get ready for the weekend events. Saturday night we went out to Ichiban's for a birthday dinner. Rian (Noelle's fiance) and I both turn 30 this week, so the "elite" cousins went out for dinner. It was a super fun night, and I think Joey set some sort of speed eating record. We went out for a drink after as well and watch some crazies do some karaoke. Good stuff.

Apparently we're not only related, but we all dress alike...black turtleneck shirts

Sunday was Juliette's baptism. We had it at Gloria Dei, which is where both Brent and I were baptised. Juliette wore Joey's baptismal gown, and my bonnet (which I don't have a pic of right now). She was perfect for the whole thing- no crying and very attentive. After the baptism we all went to Green Mill for lunch and had a nice time. Here are some pics from the misc photoshoots from that day:

Sunday night we had Juliette's first try at rice cereal! It's hard to say how it went, but she didn't gag, so I considered it a small success!

stats

We had Juliette's 4 month doctor appointment yesterday, and everything went well. She weighs in at a whopping 10 lbs 9oz and is 23 1/4 inches long. She's in the 5th percentile for weight and 15th for height. She's just a little baby! She is still growing and gaining, so we're all good. She had her shots, and besides the initial cry, she took them like a champ and was fine after a minute- and a nookie. In the last week she has been waking up at night for an extra feeding or two (so yes, my crazy sleeping baby is human) so the doctor said we could try some rice cereal for some extra calories and that might so the trick to get her back to sleeping through the night. So, we're gonna give that a try and see if it takes. Everthing else checks out ok! And since I don't like to post without a picture, here is a cute one of her asleep in her swing :-)

new stuff

Now that it's winter-ish weather, Juliette gets to sport some of her outdoor gear :-)

HALLOWEEN

Juliette's first haloween was a success...although it is hard to try to make it to everyone's house (we missed unkie b and antie k, but we'll visit them today!). Here a a few pics of our stinkerbell...I mean tinkerbell :-)

quick photoshoot:

g-ma jule got me a halloween movie! my wings! we stopped by the gg's house...they give good treats! regular size candy bars!

then we drove out to the hanneman's to get our professional pic taken so it can go into our nice book. we also got to walk around and trick-or-treat at a few houses. joey was really good at it...right up at the front door saying "trick-or-treat" with all the kids!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
